The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) is seeking an associate/manager of government affairs at the $30-50k per year level. Salary will be based on experience. Candidate may be just out of college but will ideally have approximately 3 years experience, for example, Hill experience at the Legislative Correspondent (LC) or Assistant (LA) level. AAHomecare is a small, but very active trade association primarily focusing on Medicare issues. The position would provide significant opportunities to interact directly with congressional staff and Members of Congress. Other responsibilities would include arranging the association's annual legislative conference, PAC duties and Medicare research.
AAHomecare is the largest national trade association representing the homecare community. The Association represents durable medical equipment providers and manufacturers and other organizations that serve the medical needs of Americans who require oxygen equipment and services, power wheelchairs, inhalation drug therapy, home infusion, hospital beds, diabetic supplies, and other medical equipment, supplies, and services in the comfort of their homes. Our membership reflects a broad cross-section of the homecare community including national, regional, and local providers operating approximately 3,000 locations in all 50 states. Receiving equipment and services in the home reduces the need for lengthy, expensive institutional stays.
Please send resume to Walter Gorski, Vice President of Government Affairs, at waltg@aahomecare.org.
