The American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual with excellent political and legislative grassroots skills who can help advance the objectives of the AANA's 40,000 members and their patients.   Founded in 1931, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) is dedicated to promoting excellence in the practice of anesthesia through advances in patient care, education, research and advocacy.

Position Overview
Assume primary responsibility for PAC activities and grassroots efforts at the federal level.   Represent AANA with internal and external stakeholders on issues related to CRNA-PAC operations.  Develop and execute on programs to promote and advance CRNA-PAC and grassroots effectiveness.  Provide strategic guidance to Federal Political Directors and Key Contacts.  Produce reports, studies and analyses to support organizational objectives.  Primary management of FEC reporting requirements and staying abreast of key legal and regulatory requirements.  Ambassador with AANA Board of Directors and members.  Develops and delivers educational sessions and expert presentations at national membership meetings.

Requirements
Bachelors degree with three years of relevant work experience.  Masters degree preferred.  Knowledge of the legislative process, PACs and grassroots advocacy.  Experience managing multiple projects, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  Ability to write crisply for various publication styles including web pages, newsletters, action alerts, fundraising appeals, Board reports, event promotions.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills mandatory.  Proficient in word, outlook, excel, PowerPoint as well as industry-specific PAC and grassroots databases.
