Associate Director, State Government Affairs

Associate Director, State Government Affairs, needed to advocate for member interests in assigned states by researching, analyzing, and reporting on state legislative/regulatory activities; maintaining and expanding grassroots efforts; writing briefs and testimony as well as summaries for communications to members; and lobbying/testifying before state legislative and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree required. Three to five years legislative and regulatory lobbying experience in state government relations with thorough understanding of the legislative and regulatory process. Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in public speaking and negotiation. High degree of teamwork, organizational and project management skills. Understanding of distribution and/or pharmaceutical/pharmacy issues strongly preferred. Travel required, approximately 30%.
