Assistant Manager, Public Relations

JOB DESCRIPTION

Toshiba America Consumer Products, L.L.C. (TACP) is owned by Toshiba America, Inc., a subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, a world leader in high technology products with subsidiaries worldwide. Toshiba is a pioneer in DVD and DVD Recorder technology and a leading manufacturer of a full line of home entertainment products, including flat panel TV, as well as combination products and portable devices. TACP is headquartered in Wayne, NJ.

TACP is seeking an Assistant Manager, Public Relations for its Wayne, NJ, TACP Team. 

Description:

  • Assist with the concepts, development and production of various Public Relations campaign components and campaigns.
  • Assist with the product placement for various promotional campaigns.
  • Track and evaluate the product review process to ensure placement and return of all Toshiba inventory.
  • Work with Public Relations agency to assist management of product review loaner units.
  • Coordinate all media tours; work with Legal to obtain contracts.
  • Organize and coordinate all press conferences and materials needed to support.
  • Assist with the concepts, development and production of assigned corporate events.
  • Assist with the planning, set-up and tear-down at various Toshiba corporate shows.
  • Assist with the management of various vendors needed to support the shows and events.
  • Compile and coordinate product lists for all shows.  Work with marketing to obtain all necessary equipment at all shows.
  • Work with Manager to complete all booth signage and graphics.
  • Work with Training to coordinate and organize all cables and equipment to source televisions and products at shows.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS Degree preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years of trade show planning experience. 
  • Consumer Electronics industry experience is a plus.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office Suite, as well as Internet capabilities required.
  • 35% travel required.
