Advocacy Development - The National Restaurant
Association in Washington, DC is seeking a dynamic individual for its Political
Advocacy team. This position is responsible for creating an environment for
success on industry public policy related matters. Primary duties include
developing a robust and highly effective grassroots enterprise for the
restaurant industry, assisting State Restaurant Associations (SRAs) and state
lobbyists with resources to help them meet industry public policy goals,
leveraging the Association's resources to advance the industry agenda, and
implementing strategic messaging as part of the grassroots advocacy campaign.
The position also will collaborate closely with an Advocacy Work Group comprised
of state restaurant association representatives.
The ideal candidate must be highly organized, results
oriented, and deadline driven. The candidate will also need strong
interpersonal skills, and the ability to successfully manage and navigate a
diverse range of stakeholders. A bachelor's degree and five or more years of
progressive and relevant experience required. Familiarity with restaurant
associations and the restaurant/hospitality industry is a plus. Title and
compensation commensurate with experience.
