Administrative Assistant - Federal Affairs

Office Hours required:        
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Hours can be flexible
- at least 6 hours per day

Salary:
Hourly/Contract - Range $15 - $20 per hour, depending on skill level

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

-    Solid computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer).
-    5+ years minimum secretarial experience required with knowledge of public or government affairs a plus.
-    65 wpm typing
-    Excellent grammar, spelling, writing/editing skills, attention to detail with respect to typing; professional attitude and appearance, excellent organizational skills, mature, self-starter.
-    Able to coordinate multiple priorities, make decisions and handle pressure.
   
PRINCIPLE CHALLENGES

Principle challenges of this position include keeping Vice President informed and     coordinating travel schedules and lobbying efforts.  

Responsible for general organization and maintenance of office
administration including operating budgets, expense reports, invoices, furniture,     computers, special events and conferences.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.    Organizes and maintains office administration, to include calendars, travel for Vice President coordinated through Cash America Travel Department, coordinates executive level meetings on and
off-site, maintains departmental files and handles special projects as needed.
2.    Creates and maintains spreadsheets to monitor budgeted expenditures throughout the year for our Vice President.
3.    Creates and maintains department Outlook contact database,  updates and maintains legislative information as needed for Congressional meetings and presentations.
4.    Calculates, reconciles and records all expense reports for Vice President.
5.    Composes and prepares letters, memos, spreadsheets and presentations as needed for Vice President.
6.    Learn Project Management software program, Basecamp HQ in order to assistant Cash America Corporate Office associates with maintenance on various projects.
7.    Reviews all incoming correspondence taking appropriate action as required.
8.    Maintains confidentiality with respect to sensitive company and employee information.
