We currently have an Account Executive, Issues and Crisis Management opportunity within our New York office.

As an Account Executive in our Issues & Crisis Management group you will be expected to:

  • Write standby statements, question & answer documents, b-roll scripts, issues analyses, position papers, client correspondence, and reports
  • Independently implement defined preparedness projects
  • Counsel clients through basic issues management and crisis response situations
  • Primary day-to-day client contact through written and direct counsel on basic issues situations  enlisting senior counsel on tough issues when appropriate
  • Foster client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to our clients
  • Provide direction to junior staff and manage workflow on a variety of assignments
  • Take on increasing responsibility for all aspects of budget management

In order to be considered for this position you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (Communications, Journalism or a related field)
  • 2-4 years PR Agency experience working in Crisis Communications and/or Corporate Practice, Healthcare Practice, Government, Public Affairs and Media Relations environment
  • Excellent writing skills and strong presentation capabilities
  • Analytical thinker (ability to turn around public thinking)
  • Prior experience with political campaigns, litigation communications, regulatory agency experience and/or international policy/trade experience not required but is a definite plus
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
