The Regence Group The Regence Group's Legislators on the Move program educated legislators and communities about the increasing problems with childhood obesity through a hands-on approach to raising awareness. Their friendly "competition" challenged legislators to walk the most in a six-week period and earn physical education related prizes for a school in their district.
Association Grassroots Innovation
National Nutritional Foods Association The National Nutritional Foods Association's Save Our Supplements campaign sought to protect consumer access to dietary supplements. Through their successful coalition-building and without online advertising, the NNFA successfully recruited over 80,000 customer advocates through retail outlets.
Technology Grassroots Innovation
Consumers Union The Consumers Union Prescription for Change program sought advocates who support prescription drug reforms through a spoof song about prescription drug TV advertising and drug safety. This, integrated with their online campaign, garnered more than 500,000 viewers and generated 30,000 letters to Congress within a three-week period.
