Just as Brussels' role is increasing in EU policy-making, so is the importance of effectively communicating with Brussels policymakers and member states. EU officials and Parliament members increasingly rely on the Internet and social media to better understand legislative issues. Accordingly, digital tools such as social media are becoming an important part of an organization's European public affairs program.

Join this webinar to hear from Brussels-based experts and practitioners and learn more about the components of EU Public Affairs 2.0, including:

  • Current trends in the EU's social media use
  • How policymakers use social media to gain insights on policies and issues
  • Best practices to engage policymakers and stakeholders online
  • Case studies on making digital media part of your public affairs strategy

Featuring:

Steffen Thejll-Moller, Digital Strategist, Fleishman-Hillard. Steffen has extensive experience developing online strategies for organizations looking to engage in the European political process. Since 2005, he has devised some of Brussels' most successful digital public affairs campaigns and programs.

Ryan Heath is the speechwriter and social media manager for Neelie Kroes, vice president of the European Commission and European Digital Agenda Commissioner. Ryan has held senior political positions in the UK and his native Australia, and has written for the Sydney Morning Herald.
