Nearly $800 billion in federal funding is available through the recently passed economic stimulus package. To bid on government contracts, you must understand how the procurement process works and how to position your organization for success. The first part of the call will feature our attorney, Ken Gross, who will provide an update on the lobbying restrictions that the president recently issued. He will be followed by two executives with expertise on federal and state procurement.

They will discuss how to:

  • Create an internal plan for obtaining stimulus funds
  • Make a strong case for acquiring federal dollars
  • Build support internally and externally for your efforts

Our experts will also answer your questions about government policies and procedures.

Nan McRaven, a state government relations consultant with many years experience procuring federal funds, will discuss the fundamentals of the stimulus package, provide a framework for getting started, review the Obama administration's restrictions on who can acquire money, and describe which states and industries are receiving funds.

Scott Tew, senior director, government and community relations, for Ingersoll Rand, will discuss internal planning, how to work with and train your sales force, how to engage employees in explaining a project's importance and how to prepare your organization to jump into action should projects be approved.

Ken Gross, partner, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom will be available during the call to answer your legal questions about the recent Obama directive restricting lobbyists' ability to contact Executive branch officials.

Learn everything you need to know about the president's economic stimulus package.
