Foundation Releases 2011-2012 State of Corporate Public Affairs Report

The Foundation for Public Affairs has released its 2011-2012 State of Corporate Public Affairs report, the most comprehensive, up-to-date source of data on how major corporations fund, staff, manage and evaluate their public affairs departments.

Among the more noteworthy findings: Some 80 percent of companies haven’t had their budgets cut during the recession. And only 5 percent of executives think directly endorsing or opposing candidates is an important strategy.

This report provides useful data on:

  • Public affairs budgets and staffing
  • Highest-rated political strategies
  • Performance measurement
  • Engaging CEOs in politics
  • Use of consultants and associations

It also examines the top 10 challenges facing public affairs executives and the emerging issues they’ll confront in the coming years.

Employees of companies that participated in the survey have already received one free copy of the report. Additional copies are available for $100 each. Non-participants may also purchase the report for the same price. For a list of participating companies, click here.
