"Who it takes" is just as important as "what it takes" when building or expanding an international public affairs function. More and more, organizations of all sizes recognize the importance of dedicating staff to manage public affairs in foreign markets. But finding the right people can be a struggle.
This International Network teleconference will address the challenge of creating and managing an international public affairs team. Questions to be explored include:
- What are the ideal skills for an effective public affairs advocate overseas?
- How do these skills vary market-to-market?
- Where can you find this talent, and what's the best way to use it in your organization's operations and culture?
- What training resources should you consider?
- What are the current trends in international public affairs recruitment?
Joining us will be Denise Grant of Russell Reynolds Associates Executive Search & Assessment (bio below) to provide perspective and guidance on these key questions. Fruzsina Harsanyi, senior advisor to the Council (bio below), will offer a corporate practitioner perspective, as well as insights on integrating public affairs talent into a well-coordinated team.
Following the presenters' remarks, we will address your questions, comments and stories on staffing the international public affairs function.
Participate from Anywhere:
Teleconferences and web-based seminars let you participate from your office, or anywhere you have access to the Internet. Call-in number and instructions will be provided in your final registration confirmation.
