Major Responsibilities:
-
Provide strategy, planning, and direction for educating Monsanto employees worldwide on how to identify and respond to local, regional, and national issues involving Monsanto's reputation and freedom to operate
-
Work with and through Issues Management Team to execute issues management learning and development strategy
-
Provide strategy, planning, and direction for the learning and development for Public Affairs team members ' including soft skills and technical skills.
-
Work with and through HR liaison linkages to execute a Public Affairs leadership and staff learning and development strategy
-
Design, develop, and deliver training, including management of internal and external resources
-
Develop and maintain relationships with Monsanto departments to facilitate providing issues management learning and development programs
-
Train internal personnel to deliver, facilitate, or coordinate some aspects of training
-
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to involve them in issues management learning and development initiatives, and programs where appropriate
Required Skills:
-
Exceptionally strong knowledge of current and future-oriented training, learning, and development methodologies including but not limited to: e-learning, blended learning, learning communities, performance support, information repositories, and web-supported events

Results-oriented with a strong focus for achieving short- and long-term goals
-
Very strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, from varied cultural backgrounds
-
Exceptionally strong ability to manage and influence internal relationships
-
Strong knowledge of and experience working with outside vendors of training products and services
-
Demonstrated experience deploying a multi-country learning initiative with focus on behavior change outcomes
-
Ability to define learning objectives and alternate courses of action including tactics for achieving them
-
Ability to receive and incorporate feedback and input from a variety of sources and to adjust plans as appropriate
-
Ability to think creatively and craft learning solutions based on varying situations and conditions
-
10+ years of progressive experience designing, conducting, and leading employee learning including most if not all of the following: classroom training, instructional design, curriculum development, e-learning, coaching, and organization development
-
Minimum B.A. in adult learning, human resource development, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
Ideal Candidate:

Experience conducting individual and focus group interviews as well as other relevant organization development methodologies

Experience living and working outside the US

Experience working for a global organization

Ability to champion new ideas and technologies to meet business needs

Corporate communications and/or public affairs experience
