Washington, D.C., Feb. 19 - Sheree Anne Kelly, the Public Affairs Council's director of political and international programs, has been promoted to vice president.
In her new position, Kelly will maintain her current responsibilities, but play a larger role in the Council's outreach and program development activities.
"Sheree Anne has been key to the Public Affairs Council's success during the last decade, and I am delighted to see her take on a more significant leadership role," said Council President Doug Pinkham.
The Public Affairs Council is a non-partisan, non-political association that provides members with training and resources in the public affairs field.
As part of the organization's senior management team, Kelly works closely with the board of directors and the executive committee. She is responsible for all the Council's conferences, seminars and training programs. She manages a staff of public affairs experts who advise members on trends and best practices in the field and is staff liason to the Council's International Network - a group of about 200 senior-level global public affairs executives.
She has spoken on best practices and ethics worldwide. She is a faculty member for the annual Public Affairs in Asia Institute in Hong Kong and a member of the Board of Visitors of the Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems.
Before joining the Council in 2000, Kelly handled marketing and communications for the National Association of Home Builders' $2.6 million PAC. She holds a master's in government from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's in international relations from Bucknell University.
