The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Government Relations (GR) office is seeking a skilled professional to serve as our Grassroots Coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of JDRF's grassroots program.
The responsibilities of the Grassroots Coordinator include:
--Assist with managing all advocate recruitment and mobilization programs.
--Plan and implement advocate training sessions.
--Manage the GR internship program, including the search process as well as the day-to-day management of the interns.
--Update and manage the GR database. Provide support on data issues to advocates.
--Serve as primary day-to-day contact for GR volunteers. Manage general information requests.
--Provide general assistance with legislative duties which include, but are not limited to, attending hearings and research.
Two years of grassroots advocacy experience is preferred.
