National Grassroots Conference
January 30 - February 2, 2012 - Eden Roc, A Renaissance Beach Resort & Spa - Miami Beach, Fla.

Due to the incredible response from early registrants, our room block at the Eden Roc Hotel has been filled. As of the first week in January, there were still a limited number of rooms at the hotel but they are expecting to sell out over our conference dates. We recommend that you call ASAP to book a room if you wish to stay at the conference hotel. If the hotel proves to be sold out, we have provided a list of alternate lodging options in the Miami Beach area. You must call the hotels directly to determine their availability and the current room rate.

WAIT LIST: If you would like to be placed on the wait list for a room at the Eden Roc, please contact Lauren Tyler at 202.721.0913 or ltyler@pac.org. Rooms will be granted as cancellations are received. You will be contacted no later than January 23 if a room becomes available. After that date, the waiting list will be released. We highly recommend that you make alternate accommodations as there are no guarantees that we will be able to provide rooms.

GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING GROUP ROOM BLOCKS
Once the rooming block is full or after the cut-off date (whichever comes first), you may not be able to obtain the Public Affairs Council group rate or a room at the conference hotel. Therefore, we recommend that you book a room as early as possible.

Also please note that the room rate is only valid for the nights of the conference (check-in taking place on the first advertised day of the conference and check-out on the final day.) Some hotels have been known to honor the room rate on the few days before and after our events, but please be aware that it is not guaranteed and that the room rate may be different.

ROOM RATES & RESERVATIONS
The Public Affairs Council has obtained a special group rate of $279 per night at the Eden Roc, A Renaissance Beach Resort & Spa located at 4525 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Florida. To make hotel reservations, please call (800) 468-3571. Make sure to identify yourself as a Public Affairs Council registrant to receive the group rate. The deadline for reservations is January 9.

All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. Reservations may be cancelled without penalty until 72 hours prior to arrival; within 72 hours or for guests not arriving for their scheduled reservation, a cancellation fee will result in the amount of the first night's room and tax charged to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation.

AIRPORTS & TRANSPORTATION
Miami International Airport (MIA) is the closest airport to the Eden Roc. Taxi service and rental car companies are available onsite at the airport. Taxi fare is approximately $35 one-way from MIA (a 20-25 minute ride). Airport transfers are also available via SuperShuttle. Fares one way are $21. Roundtrip fares are $42. Advanced reservations are recommended. Please call (305) 871-2000 to make a reservation.

PARKING
Self-parking is not available on property but there is a local garage located next door to the Eden Roc. Valet parking rates are as follows. The following fees may be subject to change by the hotel without prior notice.

  • Overnight - $35++

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Miami International Airport (MIA) to the Eden Roc:

  • Exit at Beaches/State Road 112 East ($1.50 toll).
  • SR112 becomes I-195. Remain in left lane.
  • At fork, bear left onto 41st Street (Arthur Godfrey Road).
  • Follow 41st Street, stay in left lane.
  • Cross the bridge to Indian Creek Drive, turn left.
  • Indian Creek becomes Collins Avenue. Stay in right lane.
  • The Eden Roc is 4 blocks north on the right.
